American Omiai manga is online at last!

Journal Entry: Wed May 7, 2008, 3:14 PM
Sorry it took so long everyone, but the American Omiai manga/comic is finally now being posted online. Here is the link to the (probably temporary) cover page along with the first 6 pages of it.

Anyway, everyone... Go and take a look and let me know what you all think.

I chose DrunkDuck as the site to host it due to a friend's recommedation and while at first it was kind of hard to figure out some things, I think I finally figured it out.

Due to now having 22 pages finished, I'm from now on probably up until those pages are all posted, try to post a page every other day. So Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are the likely days.

Where to post my comic...

Journal Entry: Sat Apr 26, 2008, 2:41 PM
Well, 20 pages of the 35 I've sketched out for the American Omiai comic/manga have been inked and toned by the awesome artist I have helping me out, and I'm working on the next 10 pages after that sketch-wise now.
Obviously keeping it to myself is a stupid idea, but now comes the question of where to post it as a webcomic for now (maybe get published later). I've been given a few ideas of where to post it given my limited HTML knowledge, but I'm also looking for input from everyone on this.

So, where would be a good site to put it up? (And don't say deviantART, XP)

One of the ideas I was given was a site called 'Drunk Duck' where people post their webcomics on to show off among other peoples' webcomics.

Anyway, hopefully I'll get some good input here.

Starburst candies rule!

Heh. I'm still alive and still working on things. Actually aside from being addicted to Super Smash Bros Brawl and Burnout Paradise as of late I can honestly say I haven't gotten much done in the art world. However, some of you know I have been working on a comic/manga project, of which I have much artwork posted of the characters and stuff on this very deviantART site.

I can reveal that with the help of another deviantART artist I know, the comic pages I've been sketching out and writing for this project are now coming to life. With the help of this artist here...

My sketches are now being turned into awesome pieces with his inking and toning of them. I've even included a sample page of one of the ones he has completed thus far for me on my deviantART site to show it off.

Now it comes up to whether or not I should try to get this bad boy printed somehow or have someone help make an online site to post it for me. >_>

Anyway, I felt I'd better show I still am around and that in some regards still working on things. Oh, and be sure to visit the artist helping me's DA page. He's really good. XD

Anime in America in danger.

Journal Entry: Fri Feb 1, 2008, 6:53 AM
Has anyone been reading around the net about things?

First Geneon has shut it's doors down, leaving several animes unfinished on DVD (One of which I was halfway through collecting no less)

And now rumors and stuff are flying about AD Vision with it having pulled a number of anime titles off it's main page and stuff. One of which, Ah My Goddess season 2, I'm collecting and have ONE loust DVD left for it. And another I'm collecting has two volumes left.

Honestly, this is all not boding well for American released anime. Seriously, I've noticed a major dip in my collecting of titles alone recently. I used to have like two to three titles every month I would plan on buying. Now I only maybe have the occasional one every other month if I'm lucky. I actually only have three anime titles I'm collecting right now. One is the AMG season 2 with one volume to go. The other two... one volume for one left and the again before mentioned other with two volumes left.

I know the reasons for the downfall of American released anime, but it's really disheartening. I remember when anime first started coming out here in America and it was few and far between, but then it picked up to the point where tons of anime titles were coming out every month and made it so you'd have something new to watch.

I know people point out how you can watch online (which being one of the reasons for the hurt on anime), but there is always something to me that was awesome watching an anime...the episode of one volume ends on a cliffhanger and then waiting in anticipation for the next volume to come out to see what happens.

I really hope something positive will happen here for anime, but right now it's all doom and gloom and screams of the end of the anime world on message boards I visit. I really do hope though it's all just exaggeration and things right now are blown out of proportion.

Thoughts on this anyone?

Random stuff really

New artwork!

After a long lack of new artwork, something has been posted. It's a miracle. LOL

Seriously, I've been lzy, playing video games and stuff and felt it was time to do something new obviously. So what I'm doing right now is a large pic of all the female characters for my project "American Omiai" which will first appear on here in three seperate parts, but they're supposed to be connected to be a big picture.

Anyway, hopefully I will get around to more then just that, soon, but for now. I have all three parts to this pic drawn and inked, I just need to get them all colored which is a much slower task for me.

Plenty of time though. Super Smash Bros for the Wii has been pushed back til March now, so nothing in the game world is really of interest to me right now to play thankfully.

I'm kinda rambling on here, but I felt an update in art deserved an update on my journal.

Honestly though the computer has become a more more lonely place lately for me as well given most of the people I used to talk to on AIM or MSN have disappeared or needed to leave, which I can understand for various reasons. It just makes being online less interesting as of late. >_O

Heh. Well, that's a long enough journal I think about nothing.

Back to work.
